Koo Ofori's alleged fraud case adjourned to Augest 13.

 The Dansoman Circuit Court has adjourned Samuel Seth Karikari’s (also known as Koo Ofori) alleged $50,000 fraud case until August 13.


The adjournment came after prosecutors, lead by Chief Inspector Christopher Wonder, informed the court that the investigator’s incapacity had prevented them from filing their disclosures.


As a result, Chief Inspector Wonder asked the court to adjourn.



In response to the prosecution’s request, the court, presided over by El-Alawa Abdul-Baasit, adjourned the case for a case management conference.


Koo Ofori was granted bail by the Dansoman District Court to the tune of GHC 320,000 with three sureties, following his arrest on allegations of defrauding a US-based Ghanaian of $50,000.

Koo Ofori was apprehended by the Accra Central Police Command after the complainant, residing in California, alleged that the actor failed to honour an investment agreement after receiving the substantial sum.

Police investigations revealed that Koo Ofori had not only defaulted on repayment but also ignored a prior summons to appear before the Dansoman District Court on April 17, 2025, lead ing to a bench warrant for his arreste

His arrest on May 9, 2025, was captured in a video that circulated on social media.

Koo Ofori was subsequently held in police custody until his court appearance on Monday, May 12, 2025, where the bail was granted. The conditions of the bail include the provision of three credible sureties to guarantee his appearance in future court proceeding.
