Ukraine Slams Russia’s Deadly Strike on Kyiv, Calls It a ‘Disrespect to the US

In a deadly escalation of the ongoing conflict, Russia has launched waves of missile and drone attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. According to Ukrainian officials, the strikes have killed at least 14 people and injured 44 others. Thick black smoke could be seen rising from several buildings across the city, showing the level of destruction caused.

Ukraine’s government has condemned the bombardment, describing it as “horrific” and a clear act of aggression. Officials went further to label it a “disrespect to the US,” suggesting that the timing and intensity of the attacks were a direct challenge during a period of heightened diplomatic engagement.

The attacks are part of the larger, ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, which has now entered a prolonged and destructive phase. This latest strike is one of the deadliest in recent times and has once again drawn international attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine.
